Mimi Pardiñas's profile

Colección de Libros | Diseño Editorial

This collection of books has been developed as part of a practical assignment for a university project at Cátedra Manela, focusing on the work of Pablo De Santis.
The fundamental purpose of the exercise was to design three books within a system that would enable the creation of an indefinite number of new volumes, without succumbing to repetition, monotony, or predictability.

Initially, I sketched graphic representations of the ideas generated from each book, followed by the manual creation of typographic compositions. Subsequently, I crafted stamps using materials such as foam and cardboard to use them as imprints. These imprints were later scanned to preserve the handmade quality and artisanal style in the final result.

But as they say, love is in the details, and it was essential to imbue each book with personality, not only on the exterior but also within. Thus, the idea emerged to create special chapter beginnings for each book, reflecting what was happening inside.

The book layouts were handcrafted and sewn, mirroring the careful attention to detail put into the graphic design process.
